Double-glazing is a window enhancing technique, which is by day gaining popularity. The technique is used to enhance the strength of glass used in construction to make is more durable and qualitative. Apart from this, double glazing comes with various other benefits upon use including prevention of heat loss, enhancement of security, protection and conservation of the environment and energy and even enhancement of property beauty. In as much as different people use double-glazing for different reasons, one of the major reasons for its use is its ability to conserve energy by reducing heat loss. If you still do not understand what double-glazing is all about, here are some basics to make it easier for you.
The double glazed windows are available in various styles and designs thus making it easier to find the right type for your specific needs. With some basic skills, it is also possible to come upon with your own double-glazing, which you can then install for a more secure, and comfortable home you want. The greatest benefits of making your own are that, with such, you will save money, which you would otherwise use to get the windows. In addition, it can be very satisfying to know that your home is secure, protected and safe all thanks to your work.
The eco-friendly benefits of Green Deal
With so much stress on reducing environmental pollution, it is imperative that we utilize every possible avenue to decrease the greenhouse gas emissions. Newer pathways are constantly being explored in order to curb the damage to the environment on a large scale. The Green Deal is the latest project on the blocks which is geared towards achieving environmentally friendly results on a long term basis. While the curiosity regarding the deal is at its pinnacle, many are wary with regards to the touted benefits. On pen and paper at least it looks quite beneficial. By implementing the green technologies households can increase the energy efficiency which means that they will be able to power the household machinery in such a manner that the consumption of electricity decreases to a significant degree. The other benefits of this eco-friendly deal include the reduction of the energy wastage and much lowered carbon emissions.
UTPGSA
Our goals are:
1. To facilitate interaction among PGE graduate students.
2. To gather and disseminate pertinent information to graduate students.
3. To conduct activities that promote the general welfare of PGE graduate students.
4. To represent the views of PGE graduate students to the university community.

Seminar Rules & Policies
The main idea behind PGSA is to increase interaction among graduate students. As an important step towards it, we are having a seminar series (given by graduate students from the PGE Department or from other departments e.g. Geology, Computational & Applied Mathematics (CAM)).
It also gives the students an excellent opportunity to improve their presentation skills. Need some tips on making scientific presentation? CLICK HERE!
Recently, we had a CMG software seminar presented by Chengwu Yuan, attended by more than 45 graduate students! PGSA continues organizing student-led computer application seminars in the CPE Building. Please see map for directions.
The PGE department has generously granted us funding for refreshments. Company sponsors have provided the food. We are grateful for their support. If you are interested in giving a talk about your research work, please contact us.
